My name is Kristi Pennington and I'm so excited for the opportunity to meet you!
A little about me. I have an amazing family which includes my two beautiful daughters, husband of 33+ years and our two, cutest ever, English Cream Golden Retrievers! My oldest daughter just got married a few months ago and coaches both high school and club volleyball. My youngest daughter received her BFA in Dance. She is now teaching dance and will be going to PTA school next. And she will be getting married in early 2027!
I am a native Texan who grew up in Dallas and graduated from Texas Tech University where I also met my husband. I'm a member of Professional Photographers of America and Texas.
I've been shooting seniors for over 12 years and I love capturing timeless, beautiful images to help my seniors tell the story of who they are at this time in their lives. I work exclusively with seniors because the energy and excitement they bring inspires me.

Putting your trust in someone to capture your portraits can be feel a little overwhelming. When you book your session with me, you can rest easy —
Kristi Pennington Photography’s images are authentic, bright, and consistent. Your images will be a true reflection of your authentic style, your personality, and who you truly are.
Some photographers use automated editing which can leave skin overly smoothed and plastic looking. I believe natural, textured, luminous skin will always be in style. And I am meticulous in my editing process only removing temporary blemishes, while preserving natural skin texture.

When do you schedule your senior sessions?
We schedule our sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Remember, your session will begin 3-5 hours before sunset, so the exact time will depend on the season and daylight savings. In the late fall /winter, we may begin as early as 1:00 pm. In the spring and early fall, around 3:30pm. In the summer, we may switch to a sunrise start time to avoid our Texas heat.
How can I book my session with you?
The best thing you can do is BOOK YOUR SESSION EARLY! I book out a few to several months in advance and have to turn seniors away every year because we’re completely sold out by the Spring of your graduating year!

Can I do really natural makeup?
Heck yes you can! My professional makeup artists can give you ANY look you want - from super glam to super natural, you get to control how you look in your senior pictures.
I have a special location in mind. Can we use it?
Maybe! It all depends on our other plans for your session. Some of my seniors have done part of their session at home, in a favorite library, or even at a cool local store--your session should feel like you. We'll go over all of the location ideas and plan something that fits your style during your pre-session style and location consultation. Whether it's downtown vibes, nature spots, or somewhere totally unique--We'll make it yours.
What type of payments do you accept?
I accept most major credit and debit cards, checks and cash. A $350 session retainer is due immediately upon booking your scheduled session. This ensures that your date is yours only and not open for any other clients.
What about photos with my pet or things from my fave pastime?
Yes, yes, and yes. This is your session! If those things are important to you, we will include them in your session. Please be sure to mention them prior to your session so we can plan accordingly.
